Levite Alms' stories

In the Fall of 2016, Levite Alms went to Linden Park in, East New York to distribute PUR water filters, flyers informing people about the dangers of lead being in our waters, wallet/pocket size magnetic chess sets and books about Bessie Coleman, the first African American woman to own a pilot's license. "...Bounded by Linden Boulevard, Stanley Avenue, Vermont Street, and Wyona Avenue, this park takes its name from Linden Boulevard. Renamed three times, the thoroughfare was originally called Van Brunt Street in honor of an old and respected family that once lived in the area", according to NYC Parks.

Location:

Vermont St. bet. Linden Blvd. and Stanley Ave.
